DTC (MVCS)
- Problem verification
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- 2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
- 3. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, then the ON mode.
- 4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC B14B2 View change signal failure Is DTC B14B2 indicated?
YES
Failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
- Multi view camera unit check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Disconnect the following connector.
Multi view camera unit connector A (20P) - 3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- 4. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle ON mode Multi view camera unit connector A (20P): disconnected Test point 1 Multi view camera unit connector A (20P) No. 17 Test point 2 Body ground Is there 5 V?
YES
Replace the multi view camera unit .
NO
Go to step 3.
- Shorted wire check (MVC VID SW line)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Disconnect the following connector.
Audio-navigation unit connector G (24P) - 3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Multi view camera unit connector A (20P): disconnected Audio-navigation unit connector G (24P): disconnected Test point 1 Multi view camera unit connector A (20P) No. 17 Test point 2 Body ground Is there continuity?
YES
Repair a short to body ground in the wire between the multi view camera unit and the audio-navigation unit.
NO
The MVC VID wires are not shorted to ground. Go to step 4.
- Shorted wire check (MVC VID SW line to power)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- 2. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle ON mode Multi view camera unit connector A (20P): disconnected Audio-navigation unit connector G (24P): disconnected Test point 1 Multi view camera unit connector A (20P) No. 17 Test point 2 Body ground Is there about 0 V?
YES
The MVC VID SW wire is OK. Go to step 5.
NO
Repair a short to power in the wire between the multi view camera unit and the audio-navigation unit.
- Open wire check (MVC VID SW line)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Multi view camera unit connector A (20P): disconnected Audio-navigation unit connector G (24P): disconnected Test point 1 Multi view camera unit connector A (20P) No. 17 Test point 2 Audio-navigation unit connector G (24P) No. 11 - Refer to: Audio-Navigation Unit Connector For Inputs And Outputs (With Auto Idle Stop System) (2015-17) or Audio-Navigation Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Without Auto Idle Stop System) (2015-17) or Audio-Navigation Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Undefined) (2018), or Audio-Navigation Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (2019) Is there continuity?
YES
Replace the Audio-navigation unit .
NO
Repair an open in the wire between the multi view camera unit and the audio-navigation unit.
