- VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve Removed

- VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve B - Refer to: Cylinder Head/Camshaft Area(2.0L Engine) or Cylinder Head/Camshaft Area(3.0L Engine)
Procedure/Specifications
1. Make sure that there are no dust or debris on each port of the VTC oil control solenoid valve.
2. Measure the length (a) of the valve.
Specifications
Position Specification a 5.0 mm (0.197 in) or more Result
- If the measurement is not within specifications, replace the VTC oil control solenoid valve.

- VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve - Test
Preconditions
- VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve Removed

- VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve A
- VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve B - Refer to: Cylinder Head/Camshaft Area(2.0L Engine) or Cylinder Head/Camshaft Area(3.0L Engine)
- "VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve - Check" is completed and has tested normal.
Procedure/Specifications
1. Connect the terminals to the 12 volt battery terminals with jumper wires as shown in the table below.

VTC oil control solenoid valve 2P connector (male terminals): 12 Volt Battery No. 1 Positive terminal No. 2 Negative terminal 2. Measure the length (a) of the valve.
Specifications
Position Specification a Length should be at least 3.4 mm (0.134 in). Result
- If the measurement is not within specifications, replace the VTC oil control solenoid valve.
