Fuel Line/Quick-Connect Fitting Removal
NOTICE:
- Check the fuel line/quick-connect fitting for dirt, and clean it if needed.
- Place a rag or shop towel over the quick-connect fitting when removing.
- Be careful not to damage the fuel line/quick-connect fitting or other parts. Do not use tools when working.
- Do not remove the retainer from the line; once removed, the retainer must be replaced with a new one.
- If a fuel line is rusty or damaged, replace the damaged fuel line or the damaged part.
1. Remove the fuel line/quick-connect fitting cover (If equipped). (Figure 8)

2. Hold the connector (h) with one hand. (Figure 9)3. Squeeze the retainer tabs (i) with the other hand to release them from the locking tabs (k). (Figure 9)4. Pull the connector off. (Figure 9)
NOTICE:
If the connector is difficult to remove, keep the retainer tabs pressed down, and alternately pull and push the connector until it comes off easily.

5. To prevent damage and keep foreign matter out, cover the disconnected connector and line ends with plastic bags (m). (Figure 10)
