DTC P26F0 : Starter Cut Relay Diagnosis Circuit High Voltage
General Description
The START_DIAG line monitors the voltage of the line between starter cut relay 1 and starter cut relay 2. The voltage level when starter cut relay 1 and starter cut relay 2 are on/on or off/off are measured to detect stuck on and stuck off of each relay and open circuit of the START_DIAG line. If the START_DIAG voltage is a specified value while the starter is off, the PCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.

Malfunction Threshold
The START_DIAG terminal voltage [Starter Cut Relay] is high (3.5 V or more) for at least 5 seconds while the starter is off.
Possible Cause
NOTE: The causes shown may not be a complete list of all potential problems, and it is possible that there may be other causes.
- Starter cut relay START_DIAG line short to power
- Starter cut relay 1 stuck on
- PCM internal circuit failure

Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected, the MIL comes on and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, the freeze data, and the on-board snapshot are stored in the PCM memory.
Conditions for clearing the DTC
The MIL is cleared if the malfunction does not return in three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs. The MIL, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, the freeze data, and the on-board snapshot can be cleared with the scan tool clear command.
