1. Power Steering Assist - Check

   Preconditions 

   • Parked vehicle on a clean and dry floor
   • Engine Started
   • EPS indicator go off

   Procedure/Specifications 

   NOTE: This test should be done with original equipment tires and wheels at the correct tire pressure.
   • Pull the scale as shown, and read it as soon as the tires begin to turn.

   Tool Details 

   Name
   a	Spring Scale

   Specifications (Initial Turning Load) 

   Standard Value
   29 N (6.5 lbf) max.

   Result 

   • If the measurement is not within specifications, check these items:
   • • Steering linkage .
     • EPS system .
     • Wheel alignment .
