MAP Sensor Functional Inspection

Test Procedure 

• Procedure

• Check the atmospheric pressure with a barometer.
• Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
• Confirm the HDS [MAP Sensor (Hi Res)].
• Start the engine and let it idle.
• Confirm the HDS [MAP Sensor (Hi Res)].

• Normal Conditions
• • -

    HDS [MAP Sensor (Hi Res)] value is almost the same as the atmospheric pressure before the engine is started, and it is negative pressure after the engine is started.

Results 

• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the MAP sensor.
