Power Window Switch Test: Test
NOTE:
If the power window switch is replaced, reset the power window control unit . If the original power window switch is installed, confirm that the power window works properly.
Power Window Master Switch
- Driver's Power Window Switch - Test
Preconditions
Procedure/Specifications
- The power window master switch has a built-in control unit. Therefore it cannot be tested by itself. Go to power window master switch connector for inputs and outputs , do all the input tests.
Result
- If all input tests prove OK, replace the power window master switch .
After Inspection
Front Passenger's Power Window Switch
- Front Passenger's Power Window Switch - Test
Preconditions
Procedure/Specifications
- The front passenger's power window switch has a built-in control unit. Therefore it cannot be tested by itself. Go to front passenger's power window switch connector for inputs and outputs - Refer to: Rear Power Window Switch Connector for Inputs and Outputs or Front Passenger's Power Window Switch Connector for Inputs and Outputs , do all the input tests.
Result
- If all input tests prove OK, replace the front passenger's power window switch .

Rear Power Window Switch
- Rear Power Window Switch - Test
Preconditions
Procedure/Specifications
- The rear power window switch has a built-in control unit. Therefore it cannot be tested by itself. Go to rear power window switch connector for inputs and outputs - Refer to: Rear Power Window Switch Connector for Inputs and Outputs or Front Passenger's Power Window Switch Connector for Inputs and Outputs , do all the input tests.
Result
- If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power window switch .
