1. A.-

   Key Information 

   Do the following before starting your work.

   Remove: 

   • Right Front Wheel - Refer to: Front Brake Area (Type-S) (2024 2025) or Front Brake Area (Except Type-S)
   • Engine Undercover - Refer to: Undercover Area (Type-S) (2024 2025) or Undercover Area (Except Type-S)

   Move: 

   • Coolant Reservoir - Refer to: Radiator Area (2.0L Engine) (2024 2025) or Radiator Area (1.5L Engine)

   ■ Removal 

   1. Move the drive belt auto-tensioner (a) in the direction shown. (Figure 1)

   NOTICE:  This is a hydraulic type auto-tensioner, so you must turn the wrench slowly for at least 3 seconds.

   2. Insert a pin (b) into the holes. (Figure 1)

   Pin Specifications (Figure 2) 

   Standard Value
   c	6.0 mm (15/64 in)

   After Installation 

   • Maintenance Minder Reset (With Maintenance Minder System)

     If the Maintenance Minder requires the drive belt to be replaced, reset the Maintenance Minder with the gauge (see "Resetting the Maintenance Minder").

   Sub-Procedure 

   ■ Installation 

   • Do the drive belt auto-tensioner air bleeding before installing the drive belt - Refer to: Drive Belt Auto-Tensioner Inspection (2.0L Engine) (2024 2025) or Drive Belt Auto-Tensioner Inspection (1.5L Engine) or Drive Belt Auto-Tensioner Air Bleeding (1.5L Engine) or Drive Belt Auto-Tensioner Air Bleeding (2.0L Engine) (2024 2025) .
3. C.-

   Preconditions 

   • 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Disconnect

   Key Information 

   Do the following before starting your work.

   Remove: 

   • Exhaust Pipe A - Refer to: Exhaust Pipe/Muffler Area (2.0L Engine) (2024 2025) or Exhaust Pipe/Muffler Area (1.5L Engine)

   Sub-Procedure

   ■ Removal 

   • Remove the alternator as shown.

   After Installation 

   • 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Reconnect
