Audio and Visual System Error Codes
NOTE:
The audio and visual system can display a few error messages when some problems are detected with the system. This is not a complete list of audio and visual system error messages. Refer to symptom troubleshooting.
Audio Unit Error Messages (Display Audio Type)
| Error Message Displayed | Possible Cause | Solution |

| The system is unable to start due to excessive heat. The system will start after the system cools. | This message appears when the display temperature is too high. | Park the vehicle in a cooler place for a while. If the high temperature status is cancelled, the audio unit turns on the display. |
| Sounds are restricted because the AMP is in protection mode. | This message appears when the stereo amplifier temperature is too high, and the stereo amplifier inhibits sound output. | Park the vehicle in a cooler place for a while. If the high temperature status is cancelled, the stereo amplifier outputs the sound again. |
USB Error Messages

| A charging error has occurred with the connected USB device *1 | Faulty power supply to USB device. | Check for hard error codes . |
| Bad USB Device Please Check Owner's Manual *2 | Faulty power supply to USB device. | Disconnect the USB device, and turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode then the ON mode. Then connect a known-good USB device to the USB port. If the error message appears on the screen, replace the audio unit . |
| Connect Retry | The audio unit failed to synchronize with the iPod. | Appears when the system does not acknowledge the iPod. Reconnect the iPod. |
| No Data *1 No Song *2 | No music file(s) can be found in a USB device. | Check the music files in the USB device. |
| USB Error *2 | There is an internal problem with the audio unit. | Replace the audio unit . |
| Unplayable File | The audio unit cannot read the file(s). |

XM Error Messages
NOTE:
Do these checks with the vehicle parked outside with a clear view of the southern horizon.

| Check Tuner | Loss of communication with SXM module. | Replace the tuner unit . |
| Check Antenna | XM antenna/antenna lead error. | Check for hard error codes . |
| No Signal | Loss of signal. | Both terrestrial and satellite antennas have lost the signal. Park the vehicle outside with a clear view of the southern horizon. |
| Required Channel Not Available | Selected XM channel is not in service. | Try another XM channel. |
| Required Channel Not Subscribed. | Selected XM channel is not subscribed. | Check the XM channel subscription status. |
