SMS Function Check

NOTE:

Make sure the contract procedure about AcuraLink is done.

The SMS Function Check tests the connection between the vehicle and the telematics service provider. It checks to make sure that the telematics control unit can send and receive SMS messages with the telematics service provider through the network.

1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode. If needed, start the engine. Press and hold the HOME button, SEEK DOWN (

3. Select the UNIT CHECK from the DETAIL INFORMATION and SETTING menu.

4. Select the TCU from the UNIT CHECK menu.

5. Select the TEST from the TCU STATUS screen.

6. If you perform the TCU Test, the telematics control unit transmits a function check message to the telematics service provider to check a network connection. If the message was sent to the telematics service provider successfully, the telematics service provider sends reply (function check response) to the telematics control unit.

7. To end the System Diagnostic Mode, select the RETURN until the general screen is displayed, or turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
