DTC Advanced Diagnostics: P0190 (2.0L Engine) (2024 2025)
DTC P0190 : Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Out of Range
General Description
The powertrain control module (PCM) monitors the sensor signal of the fuel rail pressure sensor for out of range malfunctions. If the fuel rail pressure sensor is within a specified value, the PCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.

Malfunction Threshold
Either of the conditions is met:
- Out of range high
The fuel rail pressure sensor voltage [Fuel Pressure Converted From PF Sensor Voltage] is in the range of 4.75 V to 4.83 V for at least 1 second.
- Out of range low
The fuel rail pressure sensor voltage [Fuel Pressure Converted From PF Sensor Voltage] is in the range of 0.24 V to 0.36 V for at least 1 second.
Possible Cause
The causes shown may not be a complete list of all potential problems, and it is possible that there may be other causes
- Fuel rail pressure sensor failure
Diagnosis Details
Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected, the MIL comes on and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, the freeze data, and the on-board snapshot are stored in the PCM memory.
Conditions for clearing the DTC
The MIL is cleared if the malfunction does not return in three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs. The MIL, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, the freeze data, and the on-board snapshot can be cleared with the scan tool clear command.
