DTC P0236 : Turbocharger Boost Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Problem
General Description
The powertrain control module (PCM) monitors the pressure signal of the turbocharger boost sensor. During the range check, the turbocharger booster sensor will be monitored if it is within a physically possible range. If the turbocharger boost sensor output pressure is a specified value, the PCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.

Malfunction Threshold
- Continuous check
The turbocharger boost sensor output pressure is greater than 406.297 kPa (3, 047.48 mmHg, 119.9795 inHg), or less than 30 kPa (225 mmHg, 8.8 inHg).
- Check in post drive
The turbocharger boost sensor output pressure is greater than 511.992 kPa (3, 840.25 mmHg, 151.1912 inHg).

Diagnosis Details
Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected, the MIL comes on and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, the freeze data, and the on-board snapshot are stored in the PCM memory.
Conditions for clearing the DTC
The MIL is cleared if the malfunction does not return in three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs. The MIL, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, the freeze data, and the on-board snapshot can be cleared with the scan tool clear command.
