DTC P08A8 : Clutch Pedal Position Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance
General Description
This diagnosis performs a plausibility check of the clutch pedal stroke sensor. If the CSS_SIG1 signal is out of normal range, the powertrain control module (PCM) detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.

Malfunction Threshold
The CSS_SIG1 signal [Clutch Pedal Stroke Sensor 1 Voltage] is 0.55 V or less, or 4.33 V or more for at least 0.5 seconds.

Diagnosis Details
Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected, the MIL comes on and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, the freeze data, and the on-board snapshot are stored in the PCM memory.
Conditions for clearing the DTC
The MIL is cleared if the malfunction does not return in three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs. The MIL, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, the freeze data, and the on-board snapshot can be cleared with the scan tool clear command.
