Components Connected to LIN Circuit Inspection

NOTICE: 

Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.

Preconditions 

NOTE:  This procedure can be done before any other inspections are completed because this test procedure includes all of the following inspection items. However, if this test fails, it will be necessary to continue with each inspection item individually to determine which item failed.

• External circuit is normal

Test Procedure 

• Preparation

    12 volt battery sensor connector (2P): disconnected

  • -

    Alternator connector (1P): disconnected

  • -

    DC-DC converter connector A (3P): disconnected

  • -

    PCM connector A (50P): disconnected

• Procedure

  Perform the inspection according to the following table and while reconnecting these connectors, one at a time:

    Alternator connector (1P)

  • -

    DC-DC converter connector A (3P)

  • -

    PCM connector A (50P)

(Disconnected)12 volt battery sensor connector (2P)female terminals

Normal Conditions

Part connected to LIN circuit internal circuit inspection 

OFF

Not shorted 

Results 

• If it is abnormal, replace the part that has shorted when it was reconnected.
