Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Test (CVT): Test
How to use this service information .
NOTE:
Solenoid wire harness A and the transmission fluid temperature sensor are not available separately. Replace them as a set.
- Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor - Test
Preconditions
- Solenoid Wire Harness A Removed - Refer to: Transmission Area (M/T, Type-S) (2024 2025) or Transmission Area (M/T, Except Type-S) or Transmission Area (CVT)
Procedure/Specifications
1. Suspend the transmission fluid temperature sensor (a) in a container of water as shown.
NOTICE: Do not let the transmission fluid temperature sensor and the thermometer (b) touch the bottom of the container.
2. Heat the water until the water temperature is 104 deg.F (40 deg.C).
3. Measure the resistance of the transmission fluid temperature sensor between the connector (male terminals) (c) terminals.
Specifications
Condition Terminal Standard Value 104 deg.F (40 deg.C) No. 6-No. 7 1.190-1.350 kΩ Result
- If it is abnormal, replace solenoid wire harness A - Refer to: Transmission Area (M/T, Except Type-S) or Transmission Area (M/T, Type-S) (2024 2025) or Transmission Area (CVT) .
After Test
NOTICE:
Be sure to wipe the water off the transmission fluid temperature sensor.
