How to Check Hard Error Codes (Infotainment Control Unit DTCs)

NOTICE: 

If the Select User Account (entering PIN code) screen is displayed, select the Guest on the user menu.

NOTE:

The infotainment control unit DTCs cannot be retrieved with the HDS.

The Error History feature is to record intermittent audio/navigation issues that occur while the client is using the system. Sometimes the client complaint cannot be duplicated. The error history may record the information needed to diagnose the problem. To check the error history:

1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

2. From the HOME screen, select the items in the following order (General Settings->System).

3. Touch and hold the upper left (A) and the upper right (B) same time on the System menu screen until the Dealer Diag screen is displayed (about 5 seconds).

4. When the Dealer Diag screen appears, select the Self-Diagnosis Mode to perform the System Links.

5. When the System Links diagnosis is completed, select the Error History icon. Select the Hard Error icon in the Error History menu. The Hard Error screen displays the following information by selecting the Date_Time icon.

NOTE:

The Save feature is for factory use only.

7. Use the infotainment control unit DTC troubleshooting table to troubleshoot the error. To exit the Error History menu, select the Return icon.

How to Clear Hard Error Codes (Infotainment Control Unit DTCs) 

8. Select the Clear icon in the Hard Error. Then select the Yes icon on the confirmation screen. All hard error histories are cleared. To exit the Error History menu, select the Return icon.
