ECT Sensor 1, ECT Sensor 2 Inspection

Test Procedure 

• Procedure
• • Let ECT sensor 1 and ECT sensor 2 cool to the ambient temperature.
  • Note the ambient temperature.
  • Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
  • Quickly confirm the HDS [ECT Sensor 1] value and the [ECT Sensor 2] value, and note them.

• Normal Conditions
• • -

    The difference between the HDS [ECT Sensor 1] value or the [ECT Sensor 2] value and the recorded ambient temperature is less than 5.4 deg.F (3 deg.C)  .

Results 

• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with ECT sensor 1 and/or ECT sensor 2.
