Anti-Theft Feature
The infotainment control unithas an anti-theft protection circuit. When one of the following occurs, the unit enters the anti-theft mode:
- Disconnecting the 12 volt battery.
- Disconnecting infotainment control unit connector A (20P).
- Removing the No. Ad fuse , No. C2-2 fuse , or the No. D32 fuse .
After the servicing or repairs, reconnect power to the infotainment control unit, and turn the vehicle to the ON mode. There are two ways to exit the anti-theft mode:
- Press and hold the AUDIO POWER (
) button for at least 2 seconds. The infotainment control unit automatically exits the anti-theft mode. If the unit does not exit anti-theft mode, turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode then the ON mode (if possible, start the engine), and try to release the anti-theft mode several times.
- Enter the 5-digit anti-theft code. If the input of code fails 10 times in a row, the screen is locked for 60 minutes.
If the code is unavailable, you can get the code from the iN using the infotainment control unit serial number. The serial number can be found on a label attached to the infotainment control unit.
When the infotainment control unitis installed in another vehicle (same Year/Model/Trim), like in cases where a known-good unit was substituted for testing, do the Anti-Theft Skip mode in the System Diagnostic Mode . This function will release the anti-theft mode until the vehicle is turned to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
