Audio and Visual System Symptom Troubleshooting - Rearview Camera Image Does Not Change When Selecting Different Views: Inspection

CAMERA_BIT0, CAMERA_BIT1, CAMERA_GND, SH_CAMERA Circuit Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
  1. -

     Center display unit connector C (16P) : disconnected

  2. -

     Rearview camera 6P connector : disconnected

• Procedure
  1. -

     Perform the inspection according to the following table.

	CAMERA_BIT0 open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm
	CAMERA_BIT1 open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm
	CAMERA_BIT0, CAMERA_BIT1 shorted wire to wire inspection	OFF			There is more than 1 MOhm
	CAMERA_BIT0, CAMERA_GND shorted wire to wire inspection	OFF			There is more than 1 MOhm
	CAMERA_BIT1, CAMERA_GND shorted wire to wire inspection	OFF			There is more than 1 MOhm
	CAMERA_BIT0, SH_CAMERA shorted wire to wire inspection	OFF			There is more than 1 MOhm
	CAMERA_BIT1, SH_CAMERA shorted wire to wire inspection	OFF			There is more than 1 MOhm
	NOTE: Refer to the Open/Shorted Wire Inspection Description for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.

Results 

• If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

Rearview Camera Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• Install a known-good rearview camera and attempt to reproduce the failure.

Results 

• If the failure is reproduced, there is a problem with other related components.
• If the symptom/DTC goes away, the rearview camera must be faulty.

Center Display Unit Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining center display unit is the cause.

Results 

• There is a problem with the center display unit.
