- Wait at least 3 minutes, after disconnecting the 12 volt battery terminal.
NOTE:
If you are replacing the front impact sensor after a deployment, refer to Component Replacement/Inspection After Deployment - Refer to: SRS Component Replacement/Inspection After Deployment for a complete list of other parts that must also be replaced.

Preconditions
- 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Disconnected
Key Information

Do the following before starting your work.

2.0 L Engine

Remove:
- Front Grille Cover
- Air Intake Tube B - Refer to: Air Cleaner Area(2.0L Engine)
3.0 L Engine

Remove:
- Front Grille Cover
- Air Intake Duct - Refer to: Air Cleaner Area(3.0L Engine)
Sub-Procedure

Installation

NOTE:
Be careful not to bump (by impact wrench, hammer, etc.) the area around the front impact sensor.
NOTE:
- Before installing the front bumper, make sure the SRS indicator works normally.
After Installation
- 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Reconnect
- Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
