Power Tailgate Control Unit Inspection
Preconditions
NOTE:
This procedure can be done before any other inspections are completed because this test procedure includes all of the following inspection items. However, if this test fails, it will be necessary to continue with each inspection item individually to determine which item failed.
- External circuit is normal
- Body control module is OK
Test Procedure
Hands free access functional inspection
- Preparation

Hands free access power tailgate control unit/sensor 3P connector: disconnected

- Procedure

- Jump hands free access power tailgate control unit/sensor 3P connector terminals No. 3 and body ground with a jumper wire.
- Connect and disconnect the jumper wire quickly 4-6 times to ground.
- Confirm the HDS [Hands Free Access Signal Detected].
(Disconnected) Hands free access power tailgate control unit/sensor 3P connector female terminals
- Normal Conditions

- -
HDS [Hands Free Access Signal Detected] indicates ON and OFF repeatedly.
- -
Results
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the power tailgate control unit.
