When performing dynamic aiming for radar and camera: 

NOTE:  This vehicle has the method of simultaneously performing the dynamic aiming of the multipurpose camera and the millimeter wave radar. In that case, select "Dynamic Aiming for Radar and Camera" from "Adjustment" on the HDS.

NOTICE:

  1. Dynamic Radar - Aim

    Preconditions 

    Procedure 

    1. Select the following menu buttons on the HDS screen in sequence.

    • Driving Support (System Selection Menu)
    • Integrated Driver Support System
    • Adjustment
    • Dynamic Radar Aiming

    2. Perform the Dynamic Radar Aiming with the HDS and drive the vehicle at a constant speed with reference of the prerequisite conditions and recommended environment. The warning indicators (a) and the aiming indicators (b) are displayed on the MID as follows. (Figure 1 and 2)

    NOTICE: 

    • Drive the vehicle on the road with safety.
    • If the warning indicator or the aiming indicator status changes, stop the vehicle in a safe place and check the status on the HDS screen.

    3. When the warning indicator or the aiming indicator status changes, stop the vehicle in a safe place and confirm the millimeter wave radar aiming completion on the HDS screen.

    NOTICE:  If the aiming fails, record the failure code displayed on the HDS screen.

    4. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    5. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    Result 

    Confirm the warning indicators are off on the MID. (Figure 3)

    • If the aim fails for some reason during the aiming, or if it is stopped halfway, an error code will be displayed on the HDS. Refer to \"Failure Codes\" and repair or replace parts as necessary. After the work, you must start the aiming procedure again.

    Failure Codes 

    Failure code (on the HDS) Cause How to solve

    (After confirmation, perform re-aiming.)

    76 Azimuth aiming calculation value is out of the specification range.
    • Check on the mounting condition of the front bumper and the front grille.
    • Check on the damage of the front "A" emblem/radar cover.
    • Make sure the genuine front "A" emblem/radar cover is installed.
    82 Elevation aiming calculation value is out of the specification range.
    • Check on the mounting condition of the front bumper and the front grille.
    • Check on the damage of the front "A" emblem/radar cover.
    • Make sure the genuine front "A" emblem/radar cover is installed.
    83 Azimuth and elevation aiming calculation value is out of the specification range.
    • Check on the mounting condition of the front bumper and the front grille.
    • Check on the damage of the front "A" emblem/radar cover.
    • Make sure the genuine front "A" emblem/radar cover is installed.
    84 Internal software failure. Update the millimeter wave radar.
    86 The millimeter wave radar temperature is too high. Cool down the millimeter wave radar to the proper operating temperature.
    87 Internal hardware failure. Replace the millimeter wave radar.
    90 12 volt battery voltage is too low. Test the 12 volt battery.
    91 Millimeter wave radar temperature is too low. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode and warm the millimeter wave radar up.
    92 12 volt battery voltage is too high. Test the 12 volt battery.
    94 The road environment you are driving in is not appropriate. Drive under the recommended environment.
    96 Millimeter wave radar has been blindness. Remove dirt, snow or aqueous droplet from the surface of millimeter wave radar or front "A" emblem/radar cover.
    97 The mileage exceeded 25 mph (40 km/h). Drive under the recommended environment.
    A0 Rear left wheel speed sensor disconnection or short circuit. Conduct the failure diagnosis of the VSA system .
    A1 Rear right wheel speed sensor disconnection or short circuit. Conduct the failure diagnosis of the VSA system .
    A2 Front left wheel speed sensor disconnection or short circuit. Conduct the failure diagnosis of the VSA system .
    A3 Front right wheel speed sensor disconnection or short circuit. Conduct the failure diagnosis of the VSA system .
    A4 Lost communication with the VSA modulator-control unit. Conduct the failure diagnosis of the VSA system .
    A5 Lost communication with the SRS unit. Conduct the failure diagnosis of the SRS system .
    A6 Longitudinal acceleration sensor failure. Conduct the failure diagnosis of the SRS system .
    A7 Yaw rate sensor failure. Conduct the failure diagnosis of the SRS system .
    A8 Transmission failure. Conduct the failure diagnosis of the AT control system .
    A9 Communication error with the PCM. Conduct the failure diagnosis of the AT control system .
    AA Detected non-standard yaw rate, steering angle and wheel speed. Drive on a flat road.
    AB Lateral acceleration sensor failure. Conduct the failure diagnosis of the SRS system .

    AC VSA system failure. Conduct the failure diagnosis of the VSA system .
    AD ABS control failure. Conduct the failure diagnosis of the VSA system .
    AE Tire diameter is out of the specified value. Replace with a normal tire of the specified size.
