ENGINE CONTROL MODULE, REMOVING, INSTALLING AND REPLACING

Replacing

If replacing the (J192) ECM, perform the following Steps in the sequence given.

- activate ECM version until ECM identification number is displayed, see "Engine Control Module Version Displaying"




Display will appear as shown.

- interpret code using code variants, see chart under "Function 07", compare and note.

- press -> button




Display will appear as shown.

Removing

-> Repair Group 01 (Fuel and Ignition)

Installing

-> Repair Group 01 (Fuel and Ignition)

Note:
If the engine idles rough after installing the ECM, let the engine idle a few minutes so that the idle speed learning process can be performed, also -> basic adjustment of engine, see "Function 04"
