Fuel Tank Lock Switch: Notes

Fuel Tank Lock Switch F314 consists of a reed contact on fuel filler tube and a connector flange cap with an embedded magnet. With a connector flange cap that is not fully screwed on, the reed contact switches and triggers an indication on the display in instrument cluster.

• Check the following items in order with a lighted display:

• Proper connector flange cap (recognized by: with magnet (- arrow  -)
• Connector flange cap is fully screwed on

• Switch - 1  - is fully inserted at fuel filler tube
• Electrical fault in switch. → Electrical test for Fuel Tank Lock Switch F314 
• Faulty wiring connection to instrument cluster (check according to wiring diagram)
