Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module J527, removing and installing

Removing 

CAUTION: Ensure steering is in straight ahead and centered prior to removing spiral spring.

Position of spiral spring must not be changed once removed.

Installing 

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

If Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module J527 was replaced, it must be coded.

Tightening torques

Component Nm
Steering column switch module (SCSM) to Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module J527 0.65
Windshield Wiper/Washer Switch E22 to Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module J527 0.65
Cruise Control Switch E45 to Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module J527 0.65
