Transmission Control Component Location Overview
- Installed location: The DLC for the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in inside the footwell on the driver side.
Mechatronic, Transmission Control Module -J217-, Sensor and Pressure Regulating Valves - Part 1
- Installed location: The Mechatronic unit is bolted to the bottom of the transmission housing and is covered by the ATF pan.
The Mechatronic unit incorporates the hydraulic control, the transmission control module, the multifunction transmission range switch and the sensors and actuators as a complete synchronized unit. The following are part of:
- Automatic Transmission Pressure Regulating Valve 8 -N510-, depending on the date of manufacture, also Solenoid Valve 1 -N88-
- Automatic Transmission Pressure Regulating Valve 7 -N443-
- Automatic Transmission Pressure Regulating Valve 6 -N371-
- Transmission Output Speed Sensor -G195-
- Automatic Transmission Pressure Regulating Valve 3 -N217-
- Automatic Transmission Pressure Regulating Valve 5 -N233-
- Automatic Transmission Pressure Regulating Valve 2 -N216-
- Automatic Transmission Pressure Regulating Valve 4 -N218-
- Automatic Transmission Pressure Regulating Valve 1 -N215-
Mechatronic, Transmission Control Module -J217-, Sensor and Pressure Regulating Valves - Part 2
- Parking Lock Solenoid -N486-
- Transmission Input Speed Sensor -G182-
- Transmission Control Module -J217-
- Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor -G93-
- Parking Lock Sensor -G747-
On Board Diagnostics (OBD) checks all the components named.
Not illustrated: Accumulator Solenoid -N485- for vehicles equipped with the Start/Stop System.
Only the complete "Mechatronic" unit can be replaced.
Removing and Installing, refer to MECHATRONIC, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
