Overview - Microphone Unit

One microphone (Interior Microphone -R74-) is connected directly to the Digital Sound System Control Module -J525-. The other microphones are connected to the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-.

For IW1/IW3/IW5, the Left Front Microphone -R140- is connected to the Data Bus on Board Diagnostic Interface -J533- /Control Module for Emergency Call Module and Communication Unit -J949- and is >>looped through<< to the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- (through MY 2018 and from MY 2019 without connect PLUS, IV0).

For IW1/IW3/IW5, the Left Front Microphone -R140- is connected to the Control Module for Emergency Call Module and Communication Unit -J949- and is >>looped through<< to the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- (from MY 2019 with connect PLUS, IV1 through IV8). For IW1, the Right Front Microphone -R141- is also connected to the Control Module for Emergency Call Module and Communication Unit -J949- and is >>looped through<< to the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-.
