Removal And Installation: Register: Removal

Driver side register
- 1.
Remove the steering column opening cover. Refer to Instrument Panel and Console .
- 2.
Remove the 4 steering column opening reinforcement bolts and the steering column reinforcement. Refer to Instrument Panel and Console .
- 3.
Remove the driver side outer instrument panel trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel and Console .
Passenger side register
Driver or passenger side register
- 5.
Working through the instrument panel opening, depress the clips on the sides of the register barrel and tilt the bottom of the register outward to keep the clips from re-engaging.
- 6.NOTE: Driver side register shown, passenger side register similar.
Using suitable tools, release the clips through the demister nozzle opening and remove the register.
Center registers
- 7.
Remove the center instrument panel finish panel. Refer to Instrument Panel and Console .
- 8.
Working through the opening below the Audio Front Control Module(ACM), release the register retaining clips and remove the register.
