July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Vehicle Key, Checking Function And Entering Number Of Assigned Keys

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2020 Audi SQ5, 2020 Audi Q5 e, 2020 Audi Q5, 2019 Audi SQ5, and 2019 Audi Q5. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Procedure:

-- Separate the set of keys so that the function of each key can be checked individually.

-- Start the engine using each key separately.

-- If a vehicle key is not adapted, readapt all existing vehicle keys to the vehicle using the Guided Functions on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester via the GeKo online connection.

-- If there is suspicion of misuse (for example, a key is missing), pay attention to the current Audi AG information in ServiceNet under "Technical Service → Anti-theft protection".

NOTE:

Only store the key to be checked in the vehicle interior. Move the other keys outside of the operating range.

The engine switches off again after a few seconds if the key is not adapted. Depending on the vehicle equipment, the anti-theft immobilizer system indicator lamp or the display "SAFE" also appears in the instrument cluster.
