SUBJECT
Engine Low Oil Level Warning While Driving
SITUATION
In certain instances, the customer may complain of low oil level message being displayed in the check control while driving the vehicle. Checking the oil level with the dipstick shows correct oil level.
CAUSE
Sensitivity of the oil level detection system.
PROCEDURE
On a customer complaint basis only, recode GM module with modified VN line of the ZCS coding. Then recode LCM III module.
Print the original ZCS code from GM module using DIS/GT1.
In the VN line locate the 7th digit from the left side (e.g. 0000000 0036).
Change the 7th character according to the table below:
