RDS Function

SITUATION

RDS can't be activated.

CAUSE

Coding data in the M-ASK.

PROCEDURE

RDS function is now selectable after updating the vehicle with CIP13.2.

Program the M-ASK with CIP 13.2 or a more recent version to install an RDS "settings" screen on the CID (Center Information Display).

Follow procedure "Programming and Coding" outlined in SI B09 05 01 (Coding, Individualization, Programming (CIP), Procedure B).

In cases where the Measures Plan shows no control modules requiring programming, "complete vehicle coding" as described in 'Procedure E' must be completed.

To activate/deactivate RDS via the I-Drive on the CID:

Select "Entertainment"
Select "FM"
Select "Manual/All stations/Presets"
Select "Set"
Activate or deactivate "RDS" in the Set window.
