SITUATION

Functions changed after vehicle programming

After a vehicle has been programmed, the customer may notice changes in certain functions. Changes in function depend on the current vehicle data status and the new data status.

PROCEDURE

  1. Connect the vehicle to the BMW diagnosis system.
  2. Read off the present vehicle data status as follows:
    • Call up the "Progman" program.
    • Select "Vehicle order" and confirm.

The current vehicle data status is displayed.

    • Make a note of this data status.
  3. Locate the vehicle data status in the left-hand column of the table.
  4. Click on the hotspot on this line in the right-hand column.
  5. Print off the enclosure and attach to the job order.

If the target data status in the table does not correspond to the current Progman version in the workshop, you should still proceed as described above.
