SUBJECT

CAS2 Programming with Special Measure not Possible

SITUATION

After a programming abort of a CAS2 (Car Access System), the recovery programming with Special Measure fails with following message being displayed:

"CoApi 1190 - Bootsectorupdate not possible (maybe not necessary either)"

CAUSE

With Special Measure, Progman tries to program the latest available CAS3 software into the CAS2. The switch from CAS2 hardware to CAS3 hardware via programming is not possible.

PROCEDURE

In case of the above programming abort of the CAS2, order a new CAS2 referring to EPC.
