Remove the control unit for the power tailgate

Preliminary work 

• Refer to DEACTIVATING THE 48 V ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
• Refer to DISCONNECTING THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE OF THE SYSTEM BATTERY 
• Refer to REMOVING FLAP IN LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANEL ON RIGHT .

• Loosen expanding rivet (1).
• Set the sound insulation (2) aside.

• Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1).
• Unlock the detent (2) and remove the control unit for the power tailgate (3).
