All outer CV joints are splined (helical splines) to the wheel bearing hub and are secured by a spindle nut. The right axle shaft on "C" bodies incorporates a damper.
All inner axle shafts, except left inner joint of automatic transaxles, use male splines and interlock with transaxle gears by barrel-type snap rings. The left inner joint of automatic transaxles use female splines and installs over stub shaft of transaxle.
