Vehicle Speed Sensor Signal Buffer: Description and Operation

The Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) buffer receives a signal from the VSS (permanent magnet generator) indicating vehicle speed.

The buffer processes the signal which is then sent to the Engine Control Module (ECM), cruise control module and speedometer.
