Remote Door Locking Test

  1. Disconnect Remote Accessory Control (RAC) module 9-pin Blue connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position.
  2. If battery voltages are not as indicated, check fuse and wiring for an open or short circuit to ground. Check in-line connectors for good terminal contact. If fuse and wiring are okay, adjust or replace park/neutral position switch.
  3. Use an ohmmeter and ensure a good ground is present at connector terminal "K" (Black wire). If not, check wiring for an open circuit. Ensure continuity to ground does not exist at connector terminal "B" (Gray wire). If continuity to ground is present, check wiring for a short to ground.
  4. Connect a jumper wire between connector terminal "E" (Light Blue wire) and voltage. All doors should lock. If all doors do not lock, check wiring for an open or short to ground.
  5. If all checks are okay, check RAC module connector for good terminal contact. If contact is okay, replace RAC module.
