Test F - Wheel Speed Sensor Continuity

  1. Perform ABS/TCS functional check before proceeding. See Figure . Raise and support vehicle. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Move gear selector to Neutral position.
  2. Turn ignition off. Release parking brake. Disconnect suspect wheel speed sensor. Measure resistance between wheel speed sensor terminals. Resistance should be 800-1500 ohms. If resistance is as specified, go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, replace wheel speed sensor. Clear codes, and repeat ABS/TCS functional check. See Figure .
  3. Measure resistance between ground and White wire of suspect wheel speed sensor. Resistance should be greater than 5 ohms. If resistance is as specified, go to TEST H. If resistance is not as specified, replace wheel speed sensor. Clear codes, and repeat ABS/TCS functional check. See Figure .
