Memory System: Description

The memory system includes memory seats, mirrors, door locks, HVAC and radio controls. An option package available includes a combination of power lumbar, seat heating and articulating headrest. The Memory Seat Module (MSM) controls movement of 3 seat position motors, 2 lumbar support motors and one recline motor. The memory mirrors function independently of memory seat. All motors have a position sensor, and work independently of each other.
MSM has memory to retain positions for 2 different drivers. MSM contains class 2 circuitry, which allows it to interface with other modules on the class 2 serial data line. Class 2 bus messages for the MSM include the following:
- Driver Door Module (DDM) messages about seat switch selections.
- Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) configuration of remote keyless entry transmitter personalization.
- Keyless entry transmissions received through Remote Function Actuator (RFA) module.
- HVAC personalization messages.
- Radio personalization messages.
