Memory Set & Recall

Driver Door Switch (DDS) monitors 3 memory switches: MEMORY 1, MEMORY 2 and EXIT. Current seat position can be stored by holding down any memory switch for 3 or more seconds. When gearshift is in Park, all memorized positions can be recalled by momentarily pressing any memory switch. The DDS sends all switch input information to Driver Door Module (DDM) using Simple Bus Interface (SBI) messages. The DDM then sends a class 2 message to MSM, which will move seat to memorized position.

Memory recall can also be performed when a remote keyless entry transmitter is used to unlock vehicle. Each keyless entry transmitter has its own transmission code to identity driver. Seat movement will not occur until key is inserted into ignition switch.
