DTC U1160, Loss Of Serial Communications - DDM: Notes

When ignition is turned on, each module communicating on class 2 serial data line sends a State Of Health (SOH) message every 5 seconds to ensure system is operating properly. DTC U1160 will set if BCM does not receive a SOH message from Driver Door Module (DDM) after 3 consecutive monitoring cycles. DTC U1160 will clear when DDM transmits a SOH message to BCM.
