Oil Pressure Sensor: Description and Operation

The PCM monitors the engine oil pressure switch signal to determine if the engine oil pressure is OK. It the PCM determines that a low oil pressure condition exists, the PCM will communicate the Information over the Class II circuit to the IP Cluster and it will illuminate the Indicator lamp.
