  2. Check operation of power windows. If power window operation is okay, go to next step. If power window operation is not okay, go to DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM in POWER DOOR LOCKS - BONNEVILLE & LESABRE article.
  3. If more than one memory function is not operating properly, go to step  6 . If only one memory function is not operating properly, go to next step.
  4. Disconnect memory function switch harness connector. Measure resistance between memory function switch terminals No. 3 and 1 (for memory recall 1) or terminals No. 3 and 2 (for memory recall 2). Press suspect memory function button. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, go to step  8 .
  5. Disconnect Driver Door Switch Assembly (DDSA) harness connector. For memory recall 1 circuit, measure resistance of White wire between DDSA harness connector terminal No. 3 and memory function switch harness connector terminal No. 1. For memory recall 2 circuit, measure resistance of Purple wire between DDSA harness connector terminal No. 2 and memory function switch harness connector terminal No. 2. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to step  7 . If resistance is 5 ohms or more, go to step  9 .
  6. Check for open in ground circuit at memory function switch harness connector terminal No. 3 (Black/White wire). See GROUND DISTRIBUTION article in WIRING DIAGRAMS. Repair ground circuit as necessary and go to step  12 . If ground circuit is okay, go to step  8 .
  7. Inspect DDSA harness connector for poor connections. Repair connector as necessary and go to step  12 . If connector is okay, go to step  10 .
  8. Inspect memory function switch harness connector for poor connections. Repair connector as necessary and go to step  12 . If connector is okay, go to step  11 .
