The PASS-Key(R) III Vehicle Theft Deterrent (VTD) module performs an internal test to determine if module is in learn coded key mode every 300 milliseconds. If test indicates module is in learn coded key mode, DTC B3031 will set. No warning message will be displayed. When a new module is installed, module is in learn coded key mode.
