Installation Procedure

Install the door latch onto the retainer (1).

Install the inside door handle and lock rods to the door latch.
Fasten the inside door handle and lock rods to the latch by closing the clips (1,2).

Install the outside door handle rod (2) on to the retainer (1) for ease of installation.

Connect the electrical connectors to the door latch.
Start the fasteners (2) in the module.

Install the module into the door.

Align the fasteners (2) installed in the module with the keyhole slots in the door.

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
Install the remaining fasteners (1).
Tighten

Tighten the fasteners to 10 N.m (89 lb.in).
Install the 3 fasteners to the latch assembly.
Tighten

Tighten the fasteners to 10 N.m (89 lb.in).
Install the handle and lock rods to the outside door handle.
Install the window. Refer to WINDOW REPLACEMENT - FRONT DOOR .
Install the speaker assembly. Refer to SPEAKER REPLACEMENT - FRONT LOWER in Entertainment.
Install the trim panel bracket.
Install the water deflector. Refer to WATER DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT - FRONT DOOR .
Install the door control module. Refer to DOOR CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT - FRONT .
Install the door trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SIDE FRONT DOOR .
