July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the power steering pump reservoir as necessary. Refer to POWER STEERING RESERVOIR REPLACEMENT-OFF VEHICLE (CB SERIES) 
  2. Remove the power steering pulley as necessary. Refer to POWER STEERING PULLEY REPLACEMENT  .
  3. Install the power steering pump to the engine.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  4. Install the power steering pump retaining bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the power steering pump retaining bolts to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).

  5. Connect the wiring harness to the power steering pump.
  6. Install the anti-lock brake wiring harness bracket.
  7. Install the right outer tie rod (1) to the steering knuckle (2).

  8. Install the outer tie rod retaining nut.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the outer tie rod retaining nut to 75 N.m (55 lb ft).

  9. Connect the power steering pressure hose to the power steering pump.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the power steering pressure hose to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).

  10. Connect the power steering return hose to the power steering pump.

  11. Lower the vehicle.
  12. Install the drive belt. Refer to DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT (L36) or DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT (L67) in Engine Mechanical-3.8 L.
  13. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to BLEEDING THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM  .
  14. Inspect the power steering system for leaks.
