Removal Procedure

    Fig 1: Removing/Replacing Fuel Injector Sight Shield & Fuel Pressure Connection Cap

  1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (L36) in Engine Mechanical.

  2. Remove the electrical connector from the idle air control (IAC) valve.

  3. Remove the 2 IAC valve attaching screws.

  4. Remove the IAC valve from the throttle body.

  5. Remove the O-ring from the idle air control valve.
  6. Inspect the O-ring for cracks or damage. Replace the O-ring if necessary.
