Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

Engine Oil Pressure Sensor and/or Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
2. Disconnect the engine oil pressure sensor electrical connector.
3. Remove the engine oil pressure sensor.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the engine oil pressure sensor.

Tighten the engine oil pressure sensor to 16 Nm (12 lb ft).

2. Connect the engine oil pressure sensor electrical connector.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Fill the crankcase as necessary. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement (Service and Repair).
