Preliminary Procedure Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection . Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . Remove the starter motor. Refer to Starter Replacement (V6) , Starter Replacement (LUK) .
1	Crankshaft Position Sensor Fastener CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)
2	Crankshaft Position Sensor Procedure Disconnect the electrical connector. Perform the crank position sensor variation learn. Refer to Control Module References .
