Hatch Release Actuator Test

  1. Open the hatch.
  2. Remove the hatch lower trim panel (see TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - HATCH AREAS ).
  3. Disconnect the 2P connector (A) from the hatch release actuator (B).

  4. Check actuator operation by connecting power and ground according to the table. To prevent damage to the actuator, apply battery voltage only momentarily.

  5. If the actuator does not operate as specified, replace the hatch latch assembly (see HATCH LATCH REPLACEMENT ).
